The Party Never Ends

After a long awaited time, we finally got it, Juice’s final album. Grade A, the label, has been under a lot of pressure over the last few years as the fans have demanded so much from them to get new Juice music. This project has meant to a lot of fans as Juice WRLD has over 2,000 songs to choose from.

For context, most of Juice WRLD’s songs are leaked and bought out by fans. So it was tough on Grade A to create something that would satisfy the fans. Being a Juice WRLD fan since the 999 mixtape days and listening to some of the leaks, I had a lot of expectations for what would be Juice’s final album. We first heard the news that Juice’s engineer Max Lord would be mixing and sequencing the album, where he would preview fan favorite songs such as “Biscotti In The Air” and “Rental” (which did not make the final cut) to later find out that the project was handed over to Benny Blanco. Benny finished and mixed 18 tracks for the WRLD, and it was a great disaster, one that will grow on me over time.

The album is sequenced to feel like you are at a Juice WRLD concert as Benny samples concert vocals where Juice speaks to the crowd. It created an atmosphere where it felt like fans could spend some time with Juice WRLD personally and enjoy the different styles of music he created. Songs like “Cuffed” “KTM Drip” “Celebrate” “Floor It” and “Spend It” remind us of how he used his talent to make real positive-sounding music while maintaining the personal aspect. Songs like “Party By Myself” and “Oxycodone” give off that Kid Cudi vibe where the music brings a sense of comfort.

Overall, this was a good album. There is an abundance of songs to choose from which is why it is understandable that the project is not for everyone as people had created different versions of the album before it had even came out, myself included. I am super glad that this album finally came out and will continue to listen to it. But I am not gonna lie, Im going to look up the leaks I wish were on the album.
