Lil Baby Starts 2025 With A WHAM!
After a successful year in hip-hop and rap, Lil Baby starts this year off with his latest album WHAM! In this new addition to the Atlanta rapper’s catalog, he calls back to breakthrough projects like Harder Than Ever and Too Hard by introducing new flows on WHAM and questioning “Who Hard As Me”?
Lil Baby throughout the album looks back on his successes in his career with new trap song bangers with “F U 2x”, “Stiff Gang”, and “Due 4A Win” and focuses on his matters on “So Sorry”. But as with every rap album nowadays, he includes Atlanta's most popular rappers Future and Young Thug for “Dum, Dumb, and Dumber” on a classic Wheezy beat, and features 21 Savage on “Outfit” where 21 appears to be throwing shade at Kendrick Lamar. And of course, we cannot forget Travis Scott’s timeless hook on “Stuff”.
Many of us grew up listening to classic songs like “Freestyle” and “Yes Indeed” which, this album tends to capture a similar sense his previous work carried. Lil Baby although does not seem to evolve artistically, he delivers an album many can enjoy and feel some sort of nostalgia while listening to.
