WATSKY: CARBOARD CASTLES MARCH 2013

This was a way for Watsky to show the listeners that he loves what he is doing and he is doing it as best he can, making music. All of the songs on this album are references to things in his life that lead him to making music and drew him into it. He tells stories from his childhood about growing up middle class and the minimum options he had, but music was one of those options and he took it and ran. Then as the album progresses he tells stories of how his life is now and that he is broke and does not have a lot of money but yet he is still happy. He demonstrates that through all of the hard times in his life no matter what, if he had music he was still happy and loved his life.
