They Left Me With The Sword
Paris Texas surprise drops their 3rd official EP mid-tour!?
Last week the punk-rap duo dropped the single “Infinyte” teasing fans new music for the future, which would end soon as they dropped They Left Me With The Sword just two days later.
They open up with “The Sword”, showcasing the atmosphere we will experience. “Dogma 25”, captures callbacks to old flows and rhymes to then make it sound new and unique all in the same. “Red Eyes & Blue Hearts” is this EP’s most chillest song bringing in a new love anthem. “Tantrum” is probably one of Paris Texas’s most raw songs, feeling like a freestyle.
The second half of the album features a more unserious tone from the artists as on “Holy Spinal Fluid” it seems like they were just having fun on the beat creating a new funky West Coast banger. On “Infinyte” we get a braggadocious rock anthem from the two. “El Camino” seems to be the most complete song off the album featuring unique sounds and a joined outro.
Paris Texas delivered a raw EP, and that's a great thing. Just this morning they dropped a new single titled “Stripper Song”, capturing the vibes off of the last album Mid Air; so who knows how many more songs will keep coming at us and what they may lead up to. New album?
