Glimmer Of God
Jean Dawson delivered his 4th album Glimmer of God, bringing fans a new sound. Unlike his last album CHAOS NOW*, he is shifting from the rock and more rageful songs. This time around he brings a more relaxed atmosphere. Songs like “Darlin” “Houston” and “Slow Heavy Ecstasy” feature a dark melodic tone that is so addicting to hear. Jean also brings in vibes from the 80’s and blends them with 2000’s R&B, creating a unique sound that I think has never been heard before.
There are so many good songs on this project that it is hard to pick out a favorite, and that’s just a regular thing for Jean Dawson, he is a hard artist to miss. His passion and creative process allowed him to shine in his own light this year when all the top commercial artists were able to release their long-awaited projects. If he had a bigger fan base and this album was supported by a bigger audience, it would be in conversations for album of the year. I think other people would find Jean Dawson to be a once-in-a-generation artist, as I believe he is ahead of his time.
