KING TURTLE: AUTONOMY JUNE 2019

King Turtle is a band made up by a couple of college friends from Denton, Texas. The boys have known each other for many years and offer us a sense of this connection in their album Autonomy. They show us the inside to their lives, the things they have experienced, together and alone, the boys come out and tell you the dirty details of life as a college student. "The general themes are placed primarily in debauchery" as the band describes the form the album takes on, drawing you into the pleasures offered to society today. The boys portray their indulgences and lifestyle through the mood swinging album that takes you to extreme highs and to the lows as well. This little glimpse of the actual experiences the members have faced gives you one side of who these boys are and how they survived their struggles and chaotic outbreaks that hurt themselves and/or others. Autonomy is a grungy ball of life, real life.
