Interview: Frank Sativa

KRCX is obsessed with the hot topics in music, and we’re excited to have interviewed the one and only Frank Sativa, all about him (and his music, of course)! Frank Sativa is a 20-year-old music artist based in Kansas. He’s been making music since high school but didn’t pursue it seriously until around 2020. Professionally, Frank is still looking for his perfected sound, but until then, he has used college experiences and collaborations with other artists to help him explore the craft of music.

Frank currently describes his music as RnB, alternative hip-hop, pop, “a good mix of many genres.” Space is important when he creates music, “When I’m around people with my same creativity level, it sparks ideas in my head, especially people with creative and positive energy,” Frank stated. Inspired by Tyler the Creator, J Cole, and Frank Ocean, he also expressed the beauty in referencing music. He learned from an interview with Pharrel that “Everyone has a reference of something, and it’s good to have something you can look back on. Take inspiration because everyone takes inspiration.”

Frank revealed that his music and the creation of it “is therapy for me,” and the outcome is his favorite experience throughout this career path. “This is ME, on a song,” is his recurrent realization, even more so when his audience and peers applaud him for his amazing work.

Frank recently got to collaborate with an artist he looks up to, which he said was an unforgettable experience. His current goals are to keep improving and to tour with his music soon. He’s constantly writing and creating, and he’s not going anywhere. Frank has an immense amount to show to his fans, and we’re excited to see his career flourish.
