I Survived Chief Keef’s A Lil Tour

On November 6, Chief Keef came to Denver to perform “A Lil Tour” with Lil Gnar and The Glo Boyz. And this was the most chaotic show I have ever been too, in the most fun way possible.

Everyone was impatient as the openers were not performing. We were standing for a while until it was about time for Chief Keef’s performance to start. People were so excited about Chief Keef, everywhere

you looked around you would see someone trying to find a way up front. That is when the DJ played “Mo Bamba” by Shek Wes and the first moshpit was formed, and nothing was the same. A friend and I saw the opportunity to move up front and we took it, but we were not alone. The entire venue had the same idea, and then it was just madness from there. The entire time as songs were being played it felt like survival of the fittest. I had lost my friend in the crowd before Chief Keef and the openers came out due to everyone trying to stand up.

Once Chief Keef came out it was madness x2. I could not sing a long, I just had to keep jumping and pushing people around, which at the moment, felt like the most fun thing ever, giving everyone a crazy adrenaline rush. Moshpits everywhere and people being swallowed by the crowd were all happening at once, it was hard to keep up. But throughout the show, he gave us an okay performance as his set was shared with the openers. There would be about three Chief Keef songs before they transitioned to the opener's songs, which creatively I see how it could be cool, but realistically, it felt like an unorganized decision.

Still, I got to hear a lot of my favorite tracks such as “Faneto” “Love Sosa” and of course the last song of the show “I Don’t Like”. but due to timing conflicts, we missed “Hate Bein’ Sober” and “Ballin”. Overall, it was a fun show because it was just craziness all around, and I was up for it I wasn’t scared to find joy in it. But I know that maybe if they organized the show better I would have had an even greater time.
